Heyo.

Hey folks! Still rocking at Riot Games. I hope everybody's been doing well.

The chat for is now open on weekends! We're going to be doing some cool projects and lectures in the coming weeks, so be sure to subscribe to the journal and to stop by when you get the chance. I'll be doing a talk on getting into the game industry at some point, and maybe another on keeping up practice and good working habits. I'M VERY PUMPED.

In other news, I made a new businesscard/ devID for this year, and I thought other people might have fun with it as well. So, here's a template for making your own MtG card ID!

Soooooo how bout that summer huh?

So I'll start off by saying that the internship went really well; I'm now a full-time Technical Animator at Riot Games. WOO~! So that's the main reason I haven't been around as much... lots of work! It's super fun and I'm totally stoked to work with this great team. If you haven't played League of Legends, you should seriously give it a try!

I'm living in Los Angeles these days, moving into a new apartment with a co-worker and a friend. Got my first paycheck last week, which will help (but not cover) all the costs of moving and buying new furniture. I was considering getting a Cintiq, but that's definitely not in the cards for a little while at least... =3=;;

I'm doing a bit of drawing/ painting outside of work, so hopefully I'll upload more stuff soon! If you read this and I haven't talked to you in a while, please leave a note to let me know how you're doing!

Heyo.

I graduated about two weeks ago!

After that, I dealt with the hellish business of moving out of Sarasota. I swear, I have way too much stuff. I'm glad to be finally done with that, however, and can now fixate my anxiety on the business of moving from Boston to LA for my internship at Riot Games!

I am super excite.

Until then, the next week or so will be filled with seeing friends and family, shipping things, and playing Pokemon. Hurr. Oh! Also, I have been having good times jamming with my Dad on his acoustic guitars. I have a hand-made Mexican nylon sitting right here next to me, probably with the strings it came with back in... 1972 or something crazy. I don't quite recall, but it's got a wide neck and it's really fun.

I hope to show some stuff on here the next few months and beyond, but I have no idea what Riot's gonna tell me regarding revealing what I work on there. I have a newer Mardok turn-around, however, and will keep working on that, ideally updating you folks somewhere down the line. Also, I'm allllllmost tempted to do some Pokemon fanart/ comics... Mwehehehe. Makes me giggle.

Heyo.

I just found out today that I'll be interning at Riot Games this summer!!
I'm super excited. I've been trying to get this internship for a while, doing lots of emailing and networking and even some scripting to demonstrate my skills. It was a huge stroke of luck that everything came together, and I aim to work really hard and prove myself this summer. Riot is a really cool company, and I'm really pumped to be working with them!

I start June 1st. Now to find housing and maybe a car... lol.

In other news, I thought I'd update you guys on the job front. As I'm nearing graduation, I've been applying to a bunch of game companies, some of which I talked to at GDC San Francisco. One really exciting thing that's going on is a potential internship with Riot Games. They're super cool. I had a phone interview with them last week, made some stuff for them this week, and have my second interview tonight at 3 PM PST. I'M SUPER PUMPED!

Also, Microsoft Game Studios came to campus yesterday. They have a really exciting program, and my interview with them went really well, I think... so we'll see where that goes. All in all, it's a really exciting time of the year!
