Shisa, coming from a very structured lifestyle, is very formal. To some, in fact, he seems cold and off-standish. He often calls long time friends by their full names. He has a strong fondness for people, however, having had mostly positive interactions with the quiet citizens of his home town. He believes most people are good at heart. For this reason, he can't forgive cruel actions when he sees them. If he were a classic RPG class, he would be a monk or a paladin. He is lawful good.
When Shisa finds himself in a fight, much of his formality fades away. Opponents report seeing fire in his eyes, and none can ignore the ferocity with which he punishes "wrong-doers." There is definitely a passionate heart beneath his careful mannerisms. Around sunset, he likes to climb roofs and jump to the highest point he can. He's often seen watching the sky.

... And now, an interview between Shojin Shisa (SS) and JesterCapp (JC)!
JC: Hello Shojin San! Welcome to the Samurai Duelers League. SS: Thank you very much. And just "Shisa" is fine, thank you. JC: Of course. Shisa, this is your first time in Japan, is it not? SS: Yes, it is. I've spent most of my life at Shuri Castle, in the service of O Sho Shin Sama. JC: How is it that you came to live at the castle? Are you related to the royal family? SS: -_-;; No, I'm just a servant, as I said. Actually, my sister and I were donated to the castle when we were very young. I've lived thanks to O Sho Shin Sama's charity. JC: Donated? Then you don't know your true parents. SS: Correct. JC: ... Fascinating! Next topic then. What do you hope to gain by joining the Samurai Duelers League? SS: Ah! Hmm... Well, I will show Japan the strength of Ryukyu martial arts. And... I will learn a lot from this experience. To honor my country. JC: You don't sound very convinced. SS: ... Actually, this was not my idea. I am in Japan due to O Sho Shin Sama's orders. JC: Ah. SS: Yes. He has asked me to find... a certain person. This league was a good opportunity to meet many people and see much of Japan. It is a difficult task, but I will not disappoint! JC: Then you hope this "certain person" will be amongst your opponents? SS: That would be most convenient. JC: Understood. Well, Shisa, good luck on your quest! I'm sure we'll be hearing more about you in the near future. SS: Yes, thank you. JC: This concludes our interview. Ask your local press organizer for more info on Shojin Shisa and his upcoming SDL battles!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
