This is my entry for the first round of Artists At The Ready , versus
I hope I portrayed your characters okay... It's been lots of fun! Best of luck to all competitors.
Crits welcome! Cheers.
EDIT: Some people have asked, and I regret not linking it sooner... I used PageFlip 3.5 in making this entry, a free version of which can be found here! [link]
Mucho props and love to the authors of this script! <3
I find your style a lovely and refreshing change from the norm of bold linearts and inks and blinding colours! I also love the children's book like feel to the piece and the inherent humour. Did you by chance manage to go further than round two?
I understand, and you're welcome. More importantly, it's good to see you've found a job doing what you like. And kudos for contributing to the new DOTA
Really great entry! Frog is adorable and that front cover was beautiful! Your idea with the plastic figurines is really creative too!Good luck next round!
PageFlip is pretty easy to use, but you have to be willing to mess around with actionscript... changing values, symbol names, making sure things match between scenes, etc. Most of it is explained pretty well within the file they give you, so that makes it easier.
